From twinkling lights to holly wreaths, home baked mince pies to roasted chestnuts,  the wonderful delights of the festive season are already filling the air. As this joyous holiday approaches, we take a look at some of our favourite displays for a good dose of inspiration. Keep scrolling for windows that truly capture the magic of Christmas.

Timeless Classic

If you're looking to create a Christmas display that remains in tune with your brand, try combining festive elements with your brand colours.  Famous for their show stopping Christmas windows, Cartier never fail to inspire. Their VM creatives lay on a carnival world packed with fair ground rides, glittering bows and mini figurines dressed in their iconic signature red uniform.  A festive colour palette and delicately wrapped gift boxes set the stage for Cartier's timeless pieces.

Festive Green Meets Sumptuous Suede

If what your looking to create is a display that's inviting and rich in colour, try using a colour palette consisting of traditional Christmas hues. These independent jewellers decked out their windows with grey, taupe and green to create a warm festive feeling. Baubles adorned the ceiling, and a bed of garlands surrounded the windows to highlight their beautiful jewellery.

H R Tribbeck & Son Salisbury, Why Jewellers Poole

"We wanted to create a traditional festive display for our customers, that would catch peoples eye from a distance and inspire.  The aim was to create a warm and inviting display that created a feel good factor for our customers.  We are a traditional family jewellers, and we wanted the window to reflect the diverse range of the stock we hold." -  H R Tribbeck & Son

Extravagant & Colourful

For those who want to make a statement with their displays, think high-shine props and lots of glitter. Harvey Nichols tempted customers with a giant champagne bottle pouring out hues of gold and silver. Each window featured a lime green backdrop overflowing with 3D bubbles and metallic colours, completed with stacks of hero-gifting ideas to inspire customers. Meanwhile at Selfridges, Santa took centre stage in these tinsel filled windows. Inspired by rock 'n' roll royalty, the displays featured everything from sequinned backdrops to bejewelled microphones and enough lights to light up Oxford Street.

White Christmas

While a white Christmas is never a guarantee you can certainly achieve a snowy look with your displays. Piaget transported customers to a winter wonderland with their charming Christmas window. The display recreated a snowy village scene completed with exquisite model houses and silhouettes of figures seen to be enjoying a series of festive activities.

Fun & Quirky

If you're looking to entice customers, try telling a compelling story using creative visuals and props. From Metallic lobsters, dancing prawns and flying mince pies, Fortum and Mason treated spectators to an array of delicious festive snacks in super-size! Each window featured the store’s Christmas slogan “Masters of Merry”, which highlighted the brands rich history and centuries worth of experience when it comes to the festive period.
